How a crew change works with us
Eight steps, one thread
You send the crew list and the flights
Flight numbers, landing times, how many crew on each flight and roughly how many bags. No passports and no full names unless you want them on the sign.
We track every flight
The pickup moves with the real landing time. If a flight is cancelled and the crew are rebooked, tell us the new flight and we move the pickup.
One vehicle per arrival, or one that waits
Usually one vehicle per flight, so nobody waits for someone else. If two flights land close together, one larger vehicle can take both groups.
A sign they will recognise
The crew member’s name or a neutral reference you choose. The yacht’s name only if you ask for it.
Bags and kit counted
Soft bags, tool cases, bikes or boards: we size the vehicle for the real load, not for a suitcase each.
The gate you tell us
Every marina and the yard have their own access. The driver goes to the gate or pickup point you or the marina indicate.
Arrival confirmed
The purser or the captain gets a WhatsApp message when the crew are on their way and when they arrive.
One invoice
With a yacht account, every transfer of the crew change appears on the monthly invoice with its date, route and reference.
Typical cases
Midnight joiners, sign-offs with fifteen bags, a change split over two days
A new deckhand landing at 23:40 is met at arrivals and taken straight to the yard gate, with the same fixed price as a midday transfer. A chief stew signing off with all her bags is picked up at the pontoon and taken to the terminal she flies from.
When the crew change is split, for example half the crew on Friday evening and the rest on Saturday morning, put each flight on its own line in the crew list. Each line is priced and booked separately, so a late flight on Friday does not hold up anyone on Saturday.
Airport to yacht
From El Prat T1 or T2, or from Girona, to the marina or the yard. Meet and greet with flight tracking.
Yacht to airport
From the pontoon or the yard gate to the right terminal, timed for the check-in of each flight.
Hotel nights
Crew who sleep ashore before joining: airport to hotel tonight, hotel to the yacht tomorrow morning.
Price
What a crew change costs
The price is per vehicle, not per person, and it is the one our pricing engine gives now for that route, number of people and bags. Fill in the crew list and you see it line by line, including the minibus for larger groups. Without a date you see the price of a normal weekday; on the busiest dates and public holidays it can be higher because of demand, and you always see the final price before you pay.
Frequently asked questions
How many bags can a crew member bring?
As many as they have. Enter the real number of bags, tool cases and bulky items in the crew list, and we price a vehicle with room for everything.
Can one vehicle wait for two flights?
If the flights land close together, yes. Put both groups on one line with the later landing time, or send us the list on WhatsApp and we tell you which option makes more sense.
The flight has been cancelled. What do we do?
Send us the new flight on WhatsApp or by phone. We move the pickup to the new landing time.
Do you need passport details?
No. For a transfer we only need a name for the booking, a phone number and the flight. The sign can show a neutral reference.
Can you invoice each crew change to the yacht?
Yes. Each transfer is invoiced with VAT to the entity you tell us. With a yacht account you receive one invoice a month with a line per transfer.
